The goal of this page is to provide highly useful links for people seeking more information about disabilities. The small number of links is intentional to keep focused and to avoid having the user get lost in a sea of links. Each linked page generally provides a list of additional links for more resources.
Disabilities, Specific:
- MDS Ltd - Macarthur Disability Services - provide a range of services, information and advocacy for people who have a disability. Toll Free Information Line 1800 683 232
- Lincs - is a database system to that allows access to a number of local Councils community information directories and disability organisations databases
- Autism Spectrum Australia - peak organisation in NSW providing information, support and services on Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Australasia Charge Syndrome Association - parent based support association focusing on people who have this rare syndrome
- Brain Injury Association of NSW - peak organisation providing information and advocacy services for people who have an acquired brain injury and their carers.
- Deafness Resources - provided equipment and resources for the Deaf community and those with hearing impairments
- Down Syndrome Association of NSW Support and promotion of the interests of people who have Down Syndrome and their families
- Family Advocacy - social advocacy organisation, which works with families where there is a child or an adult who has a developmental disability.
- Genetics Association of NSW - information and support on over 2,000 different types of genetic related conditions
- Northcott Society - provide a range of services in Macarthur and across Sydney for people who have a physical disability
- NSW Council for Intellectual Disability - peak organisation representing the interests of people who have an intellectual disability
- Paraquad NSW - essential care and support for people with spinal cord injuries
- Physical Disability Council of NSW - the peak body in NSW representing people with physical disability across the state
- The Spastic Centre NSW - peak organisation for people who have cerebral palsy
- Vision Australia - national organisation advocating the interests of people with vision impairment with information and services

- Accessible Arts - information and training for people interested in being involved in cultural opportunities in the arts and performance
- National Disabilities Services (formally known at ACCROD) - a national Industry association providing systematic advocacy, policy development and service support
- Australian Association for Children with Disabilities - a large grass-roots information, support and advocacy organisation run by parents/families of children with a disability, for parents/families of children with a disability
- Independent Living Centre NSW - providing information and services on equipment and aids to enable people to live an independent lifestyle
- Multicultural Disabilities Advocacy Association - Advocacy, information and support of people who have a disability and carers from a diverse background of cultures and languages
- People with Disabilities - disability rights and advocacy service for people who have a disability and service providers
- Technical Aids to the Disabled - access to aids and equipment for people who have a disability utilising the skills of staff and volunteers
- Technability - providing information and services for people requiring communication and technology equipment
Mental Health:
- Black Bog Institute - an educational, research, clinical and community-oriented facility offering specialist expertise in mood disorders - a range of disorders that include depression and Bipolar Disorder (formerly called 'manic depression')
- Mental Health Association NSW - promotes opportunities for people of NSW achieve their optimal level of mental health through information, education, support and advocacy
